The Davis Family YMCA in Boardman is seeking donations of 5-inch-by-5-inch art for its 2022 FIVE Squared benefit art show and sale.

Anyone, any age and any skill level is invited to participate. The finished work, created using whatever medium the artist chooses, should be lightweight enough to hang on the wall with sticky tack. No frames, mats, or wire hangers are required.

The deadline to submit art is Jan. 17. Work can be dropped off or mailed to Suzanne Gray, Davis Family YMCA, 45 McClurg Road, Boardman 44512. Adults may donate up to eight pieces, and children can donate four pieces.

The art will be sold anonymously for $25 each for adult work and $10 for pieces created by children, with proceeds being used to make free art classes available to underserved children and families in the community.

The entry form can be downloaded at ymcaart.blogspot.com and ymcayo.org/arts-humanities. Forms also are available at the desk, in the lobby and the art studio at Davis.

The opening reception for FIVE Square is scheduled from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Feb. 6. For more information, email Gray at sgray@youngstownymca.org or sgray538@yahoo.com.
